Aretha Franklin’s Story of Caution

Aretha Franklin taught us a lot about respect and responsibility. After her passing, her two son's battled over her estate for nearly 5 years. Franklin had written multiple wills throughout her lifetime. Her sons fought over which version should prevail, an older notarized version or the most recent handwritten version. It was a grand example of how important a Will is for bringing peace to your family after you pass.

Franklin was smart. Her handwritten Will met the following guidelines that helped it hold up in court:
