Housing Counselors are needed throughout Pennsylvania to help our communities achieve their housing goals! AHCOPA’s Housing Counseling Academy, sponsored by the National Housing Resource Center, is an 8-week course that will prepare you to pass the HUD certification exam, a requirement to enter the career field. The Housing Counseling Academy is taught by AHCOPA’s certified and highly experienced housing counselors. Classes are taught virtually, 2 days a week and the program includes mock counseling session, self-care development, a pre-test and study guides. Enrollment Cost: $50 for 8-week course for Pennsylvania residents and $400 for out of state residents. Fall 2025 Semester: Begins Tuesday September 23, 2025 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Mandatory Orientation: You must attend one of the following orientations to enroll: Tuesday, September 9, 4 pm - 5 pm
